On the road with CorelDRAW questions....
I'm on the road and way out of pocket at the moment from my normal tech guys. I have some pdf and jpg logos I need to get to a vender asap. He wants them all in CorelDRAW. I don't have it and don't know the first thing about it.
Any ideas on converting my pdf's and jpg's to a CorelDRAW file if I can find the software? It is just a matter of "Save As..." Must it be created in CorelDRAW?
As you can see I am very much out of my league

If he just wants your PDF and Jpeg files in a Coreldraw format, then you need the Corel Draw graphics suite:

In that you probably get 20 different applications, but all you need is the DRAW program. Open your file, then save as the default Corel file format.

What would be the point of converting a bitmap logo to vector? It will still be low quality. When they ask for a vector file, presumably that means something high quality that can be scaled without losing resolution.
In other words, if they were happy with a jpg logo they would have asked you for a jpg logo and converted it themselves.

I told the guy in Russia to save whatever I sent him in whatever format he wanted. He said he can't do that (wrong) so I downloaded the CorelDRAW program for free (thank you Scott), saved it just like I told him he should, and sent him the files. All is now well.

This sure sounds like a vector graphic problem. Your vendor is looking for the original file so he can do something to it presumably. While it's possible to take a bitmap image like a JPG or PDF and save it in whatever format you want, you can't manipulate it much.
As an analogy, imagine you have a really big, high resolution, 10meg JPG photo. Shrink it down to a 640x480 image and it's maybe 200k. Now try to make an 8"x10" print. Yuck!
If your vendor is trying to recolor or resize your graphics he's going to need the original material from which your JPG and PDF files were made. If you don't have the originals, the vendor will have to re-create them.
