Do they still exist? I use an expense program on my phone that takes pictures of the receipts.

Exactly what I do. Try JotNot Pro. Best $0.99 I ever spent in the app store. Well after Angry Bird.

I use Expensify. I like it because it works well both on Android and on IoS and there is also an Ipad version. I've tried a number of the apps and decided this was the one I would use and have not turned back.
I used to carry a NeatReceipts scanner with me. I found a lot of issues on the Mac platform and it is a lot of space/weight. |

I could not find a thread on this, if one exists, please merge....
I am looking at this product, but I see mxed reviews... So, do any of you FT'ers use this? What is the good, the bad, and the ugly? Is there a better alternative? Where can I get the best price (with the most points/miles):p This is FT afterall. Thanks in advance! |
If there's a link in there, I'm missing it.

Sorry, I assumed most people had seen the countless ads on TV. :) |

You might just get a phone app for that. I know people who are pretty happy with both Expensify and Mint (they are Android users, FWIW). For both, you can capture receipts by taking photos of them with your phone.
Oh, and I see both are available for iOS as well. |
I see a lot of usage for expense reports... I am looking to file bilks and other documents. Usually the phone apps are not good for this.. Also, I track the tax on receipts...

If anyone has any recommendations I would like to hear them as well. Taking photos or something phone-based are not a convenient option for me, I'd have to use my phone and then e-mail to myself. I'd prefer something that plugs directly into my work computer.

I'm not a huge fan. The software is far to complex for what it does - and it is unreliable at times you need it most. Basic things like just scanning something needs too many steps, and when I got things to scan, they were indexed and I could never find them.
I always think there is a reason a company advertises like crazy on TV - good products sell themselves... |

If all you want to do is scan, then Genius Scan for iOS is great.
Maybe the paid genius scan+ version is better, but not willing to spend $2.99 to be guinea pig :) |

This might be a great option for someone with a slightly higher price/inconvenience threshold. $.99 is cheap and it seems to have great reviews in iTunes! |
