Windows XP SP3 to be released tonight (12/19/2007)?
From the Thinkpads listserv, the announcement (?) that SP3 for WinXP will be released at 6pm Seattle time today.

It's a Release Candidate. While it's being released to the general public, it's not the final release of SP3 and won't be on Windows Update. That's still slated sometime for the first half of 2008, just before another support end date of XP passes.

I'll probably pass until the final -- which will only need 200 hotfixes instead of 500
