Slung all Summer in Vegas
I have notebook with S-Video out and use it this summer in Las vegas to send the video signal out to a 32 inch tv. Quality was good... but the Cingular Broadband was more of a problem. I was on a wireless notebook card and used it. I was on the road in the portland area and watch movies from back at home (just trying the network). It is great and very usefully.

I have a slingbox and it is pretty cool. The picture is not super clear, but watchable. My husband hooked a camera to it so we can keep an eye on the house when we are away.
That means he can see me watching TV and mess with the channels.

The free service Orb (www.orb.com) works very well too and you don't have to buy a box. I already had a tv tuner in my home PC so no cost. Even if you don't have a tuner, some can be had for less than 50 dollars. I don't know about slingbox, but you can even use Orb on many phones. The pic quality isn't great, but better than nothing when you're stuck somewhere.

I'll be travelling to Hong Kong for two weeks over the Christmas and New Year's holidays, and would like to take the opportunity to try out the Slingbox, just for sh*ts and giggles, after which I'll probably return it.
