how to reset printer queue/spool?
One of the printer's I use at a client site is really really old (Laserjet 6L) and every once in awhile it will get it in its head that I'm printing a document with blank pages and want to print like 60 of them. How can I reset the printer? I've cleared the printer queue in Windows XP by cancelling all jobs, but it still prints this damn thing!!

Any ideas?

Shut down the computer to really completely kill all print jobs, unplug the power to the printer, plug the printer back in, and start up the computer again.

Very often, just turning off the power to the printer is sufficient.

That's true, and if it works for you, it's obviously a lot faster. If when you turn the printer back on, garbage pages start shooting out again, then go to plan B.
