System 32 Screen at boot up
I need to stop the System 32 screen from displaying at boot up. I know there is an easy way to do this as I have done it once with the help of Dell tech support. I was hoping someone on here could help me save the many, many minute wait time. I think it has something to do with the list of items that start during start up but I cannot remember how to get to that list.
Thanks a lot,
Thanks a lot,

When I read the thread title, I thought somebody still had an IBM System/32 around...

I am not exactly sure based on the description but try this:
Right click on My Computer -> Choose Properties
Advanced Tab
Under Startup and Recovery click settings
Uncheck Time to display list of operating systems:
Hope this helps.

Gotta love the gigantic system console to the immediate right of the man in the Wikipedia photo (those things weighed a ton, but were (are) practically indestructible).

Hi,
Visit http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm and scroll down
to Item No. 260. In the right column, click on "System32 Folder Opens
Upon Boot". Download this repair file and then run the repair.
