I would say yes, it is possible. They don't block this traffic while inside the office but I could see why they might want to do it with an external VPN connection.

Just got rid of my landline so I'll be using it and not have to use my cell bucket minutes for long distance calls. Cool! Thanks!

I'm not having any luck making a call to landline.
I use Skype video daily, but can't get landline number to go thru:
get error message like "this is not a valid Skype number..."
If it's not as intuitive enough as dialing a phone, then forget it.
I found setting up Skype video seamless and painless, but that
was before Ebay bought them.

try it again, I have had really great quality with PC to Landline. Using it now must fine with my mac laptop, and a bluetooth headset,
works GREAT!
