What??? I don't understand.

The linked article talks about improved performance, not a change that slows down performance. This sounds like a "speed boost", not a "speed bump".

When a design is "refreshed" and one of the only changes is increased processor speed, that's known as a "speed bump", because the speed is increased incrementally. E.G. 1.83 bumped to 2.0 with an optional bump to 2.16.

Owell, that situation didn't affect me anyway

Though I did hear other rumors that stock was hitting the stores already, which would be kind of irksome since I ordered on announcement day. But on the flip side, it means I can run up to the mall and get one and cancel my online store order, so maybe that's not so bad
