Trying to switch from TracFone to a plan
I recently bought a TracFone phone and it has really been a waste. I got 200 minutes last month and blew threw them like that. The reason is, is because it is double minutes outside of a few counties in Va. I am looking for a cheap cell phone that has a good plan. Preferably one that can call internationally. Any ideas? Thanks for the help ^ .

It all depends on the coverage in your particular area.. For example, compass.t-mobile.com will provide precise, down to the block, coverage information as far as T-Mo goes.. Ask around with what your friends have, see if you have a lot of friends with a particular carrier (such as with Verizon, ALL of Verizon's plans have free IN-network (mobile-to-mobile with other verizon phones) calling. And then decide on your new plan.

You need international so you will need GSM. T-Mobile is the most aggressive with pricing/minutes and international roaming rates. You should find lots of T-Mobile opinions if you use Search in Forum.
