boosteroo headset amplifier
(please forgive if this has ever been out here before, since search is down). i bought this little miracle for $22 (saw iton the net and at radioshack under their brand name). one headset jack in and 3 amplified headset jacks out. Now I've been happily using noise cancelling bose and sony headsets for years. but very often the source volume isn't loud enough when watching a movie i've downloaded onto the laptop, a digeplayer, or a regular airline movie. this tiny thing boosts the volume with almost no distortion to the point that i can really enjoy movies and the headsets. it also lets 2 or 3 share the same audio. wish i had found something like this years ago. a small complaint: just on or off, no volume control. i have a radio shack headset volume control on a cable that was in a drawer and i plugged that in front of the boosteroo. voila. hope someone else gets as much audio pleasure from this as i do and will.

Agree with you on that one... could barely hear the audio on my laptop.
But now, two of us share the audio, and even have to switch it down because it is too loud!
Many hours of pleasure!

(And no, have nothing to do with them... it really is just very good)

I have one of these little goodies as well, it's been in use almost 2 years now. Wonderfully simple and small, battery life (2-AA's) is great; works like a charm for watching movies / listening to tunes with a travelling pal.
