MOXI is an as$hat!
MOXI (the software that comes with Motorola's new HD cable boxes in our area) is the lamest piece of junk I have ever used to control the TV. Is there anyway to change the software? If not is there any way to add a device that has it's own software?

John,
Visit www.avsforum.com and nose around. There are specific boards for cities and cable franchises.
I follow the threads for Adelphia in Los Angeles. While I do not have a Moxi (I have a Motorola 6200 HD box, the non-DVR), the posters trash it continuously, and the main focus of their wrath is the "guide" disappears regularly. However most people blame Adelphia, since on other systems it often works better.
Apparently Adelphia is doing a new firmware upgrade to the Moxi's next month. However this doesn't necessarily mean anything to you. And, after reading about 300 postings on the Adelphia Moxi, no one said anything about third party software.

Thanks Craig! I also learned from that site that it is not Adelphia that disconnected the DVI connection on the box, but it is the Moxi software that does not support the DVI connection and that they should fix it next month.

Piece of cr@p was brand new and already had to be replaced after 1 1/2 months which wiped out all my HD recordings and all of my Season Pass settings.
Bad Moxi. Bad Moxi.

Bad Moxi. Bad Moxi.
