Angry problem with email attachment

My Outlook 2002 has now decided to go on a selective strike of sorts. Its not allowing me to send out emails with files attached... (????) Could I have some sort of weird virus?

Ive not been able to send out anything with a file, and we are not talking big files here.... its like 100K worth of word and excel files... any ideas whats going on?

Thanks.

Try sending the email with the CONTROL-ENTER keys instead of send.

Gaucho100k, I've been following your woes with your Wintel notebook with sympathy and commiseration. First it was a problem synching your Palm, then IE fatal error, and now your email client won't send attachments. And that's just in the last few weeks!

Perhaps it's time to move to Mac?

Or an etch-a-sketch.

Apparently you're not alone:

Is the recipient using Outlook 2002? It blocks many types of attachments from being opened or executed:

One solution is to try sending the attachment as a .ZIP file.

Thanks for the advice and the sympathy.

I will confess that I have a sort of mental block with Macs. Its an embedded sort of branding/image thing.... I just dont see myself using a Mac. I think I have Mac-o-fobia...

I think Im just going to weather it out until sometime next year, when I hope to get a new T43 or T50 with what will hopefully be a more stable Win OS and Office Suite..... as they say, hope is the last thing one looses...

PS to Scotty-- you better have some solutions for me ready.....

Just think of it as running Unix with a really good GUI shell that supports Word, Excel, PowerPoint, ...
