Who will be the network they will partner with?

I must have been tired when I typed that, I was muddled up with Vodafone... They are setting up a virtual network with Proximus, mainly to bring Vodafone Live! to Belgium, presumably to fight off imode offered on Base...

Okay, I broke down & bought one a couple of weeks ago (after I decided that MSFT would never figure out push e-mail for Pocket PC).

Excellent device!

But now I'm carrying around three trinkets -- the BB, the Pocket PC and the SEM T610. If the BB did Bluetooth and could support the modem profile from my computer and the headset profile from my car, I would consider leaving the T610 at home.

Anyway, just a wish from my wishlist.

BTW, the card games from Magmic are pretty good.

Why still carry the PPC? Seriously, what do you need to run that you can't via a mobile device or a BB? Just curious.

In my case, the only reason I used my old PPC was web browsing via a cell phone and contact management. The BB replaced both those.

Golly, I use the Pocket PC fot lots of things!

I take notes on it - I'm completely paperless.
It does GPS door-to-door navigation.
I have copies of all of my important documents on it.
I read e-books.
I use MSFT Office applications.

And lots more. For short trips, I can even live with only the Pocket PC and the phone. Even though I entered this reply on a Blackberry, I have plenty of Pocket PC applications http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif

Does anyone know how to post onto FT from a BB 7230 on TMO? I can read but I can't post (probably a good thing) http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/smile.gif

What error are you getting? I'm able to post to FT from mine so perhaps it's in your settings...

Okay, here's what happens. I get the post screen, fill it in, hit Submit, and then I just get a blank screen. Nothing happens after that, even if I hit Refresh, and when I go back to the page it hasn't posted.

Richard, are you are going through the WAP proxy?

yes, Nick., I believe that is how my setup is configured as I do not have BES.

NickP 1K Jan 12, 2004 12:25 pm

Something is getting toasted on the WAP gateway/proxy...

I've looked in the usual places to no avail. Is there a scientific calculator app for the 7200 series? Not a bus/financial calculator and not a spreadsheet like ecell.

You need to do the "RBRO" trick, go to the options screen in your browser, then type RBRO, that will unlock the settings, now got to the general settings, you'll see a browsing mode in the bottom, probably set to "constrained", change that to "unconstrained"... Check rimroad for more on changing the browser from pure WML to WML/HTML.
