Yup, same here... no extra junk... Nice integrated mail handling and good internet browsing... Who needs more?? I've actually placed an intranet site at my company to work with the browser (when using the corp blackberry exchange) to be a single site conduit to other company sites or host other info that is updated real time. Works in place of running crummy 3rd party apps, etc.

When I was in BKK I got a voice mail on my BB. The voice mail indicator (tape icon) came on, and now I can't get it to turn off.

I've tried a hard reset and deleted all messages from my BB mailbox, but the icon still stays on.

Is there any way to send a message to turn it off?

Voicemail indicators are a network issue, T-mobile (or whoever your operator is) has to send the signal to turn it off, as soon as you enter your homw network it will most likely go off...

I am looking into getting a 7320. I will only use it for emai im and phone. Personal not business. How is T-mobile coverage in Manhattan and farther north ie Hudson Valley? If T-mobile provides good coverage that could be a clincher. Thanks for your help.

Have had the Blackberry for a few days. Pretty darn cool, a little addictive. Phone's decent too.

One question about notifications. I've got the LED on as repeat notification, but it seems to stop flashing after a while. Is there a way to have it keep flashing. Would be nice to have it silent at times but tell at a glance whether I have an email. I'm on the 7230.

Not that I've seen... Once a message goes "stale" but unread, the light will go off... Might want to make a suggestion to T-Mobile device support, as they do have the leeway to request such items from RIM - as the OS is customized to some extent per network operator.

The message LED stopping is just one of many things I miss on the BB...

Yes, it should have the option to stay blinking.

Also, I miss being able to use encryption on the unit -- I use BWC and not BES and there is no way I can see to encrypt my communications http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/frown.gif This is a major, major bummer.

I'll ping someone at RIM on this...

Update: emailed someone at RIM a few mins OK.

Other things I miss are:

Better backlight settings (it turns off after 10 seconds now, I want a timer...)

IM Client!!!

We should get this up and charge for use to Blackberry users http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttravel_forum/wink.gif

Webmessenger requires BES with most carriers http://www.flyertalk.com/travel/fttr...orum/frown.gif

Coverage update:

US T-Mobile Blackberry's now also work in
- Ireland (Vodafone Ireland)
- 4 of the Hong Kong networks (CSL, New World, Orange HK, SmarTone)
- Germany: Now, not only supports T-Mobile Germany but also supports Vodafone Germany.

See the full list here:
http://www.t-mobile.com/internationa...geInternet.asp

T-Mobile also confirms that fact that in Monaco you will roam on SFR France or Orange France. In San Marino and the Vatican city you will roam on TIM Ireland or Vodafone Ireland. (This was always possible, but wasn't clear on the coverage list)

BTW: T-Mobile lists tzones coverage for Japan. This is on Vodafone Japan BUT NOT for Blackberry's. You need your SIM and when used in a Vodafone Japan handset your available GPRS APN will become a passthrough for Vodafone Japan's data service on their WCDMA network. So it's not really GPRS roaming, more so data access for accounts that are provisioned for GPRS.

Added:

- Thailand: AIS
- Italy: Wind
- Romania: MobilFon

Major areas that are still pending: Belgium, Iceland, New Zealand, South Africa, S. American countries, Egypt, China, India (Delhi/Mumbai), Mexico
