Internet access in Paris
I'm booking a hotel near Champs-Elysees for July and I'm looking for unlimited Internet access. I have a reservation at the Prince de Galles but I don't think they have broadband. Can I get some advice?

Easy Everything Internet cafes, many WiFi hotspots in Cafe's nowadays and of course low-speed access through GPRS...

Hopefully the Sofitel will work for you, but if not I can confirm that many Caf's these days have WiFi (pronounced wee-fee here). One thing for U.S. travelers to worry about is the extra channel that Euro wi-fi has. Occasionally a hotspot will allocate channel 13 which U.S. wi-fi cards can't use. If that happens you can ask them to reboot the access point and hope it comes up with a different channel, or change cafs or buy a Euro wi-fi card.

Accor hotel group has WLAN in MANY French hotels (I've had it even in remote properties outside of major cities). The WLAN's are setup and run by Orange (France Telecom's wirless provider).
See: http://www.orange-wifi.com/ (sorry French only) Non US Visa cards seems to work fine on the registration pages when you get access for pay as you go.
