USB CD ROM Backups

I read the other thread on backing up, but have a more specific question. I've got a three to four year old Micron notebook...love it. It has two USB ports and I need to come up with a backup strategy that is fast, easy and inexpensive. I had bought an Iomega USB burner, but for some reason ever since I upgraded to Windows XP it doesn't work for me...uninstalled, reinstalled, yada, yada, yada.

Any suggestions for an external UBS CDRW solution for notebooks?

Try installing a newer burning application, like Nero 5.5 or EasyCD Creator 6.0 in XP. That should solve your USB CDRW problem.

Otherwise just go buy any external USB burner. Invest in a USB 2.0 version, so when you get a faster laptop with USB 2.0 connections, you can burn faster.

It is often a problem with ASPI drivers.
