T68i email

I suspect the answer is no, but is there any way to change any of the settings on the T68i's email client? For example, it seems to only download the most recent 15 messages. Also, it seems a little buggy on messages with attachments. It appears to try to download the attachment, which often causes it to reboot. Would like to set it so it doesn't try to download.

Any thoughts? I tried some of the phone forums but didn't get much of a response.

What t68 forums did you try? I post under http://forum.semuser.com and you might have it answered there...

MagMile, you don't happen to live on the MagMile, do you? I live on the Mile across from Nordstrom's. Lol. It'd be funny if you lived in my building.

magmile, the T68's email is pretty much worthless IMO. If you're on T-Mobile, use the T-Zones mail service. It's much more reliable, if a little clunky.

Howard Forums are the FT of mobile phones. You can try looking around in there. http://www.howardforums.com

Thanks for some of the suggestions, will follow up.

alanw, my concern with the T-Zones mail service is having to either save my password on their servers or re-enter each time. Unless there is some way to save on my phone. I don't really understand enough about how passwords are saved or encrypted to quite be comfortable with that. It's my corporate email I want to access, so I'm tremendously nervous about taking any risks. Dialing up to my company's access number and using the POP3 client works okay, but with the quirks I mentioned. Frustrating b/c if I could get those ironed out, I'd actually be pretty happy.

DG, I'm at the opposite end, but good to know there are others in the neighborhood.

To grab my corporate Email, I use my t68i through my iPaq to dial into my work. What service do you have?

I dial into work with the T68i and use POP3 email, which is okay but with some of the limitations mentioned above.

I guess the question is how much time do you want to put into resolving this? If it's an older phone, this problem could be solved with a software update of the phone (I know that some of the older phone versions, such as r2b025).

If you have ATT, I'd even let you borrow my older Nokia 8360 to borrow while you have the process done (takes a week).

When did you buy your phone?
