TRIPIT Help!!!

I spent 2 hours entering details into Tripit the other day while waiting for a flight in an airport terminal. For some reason, I wasn't able to get online using my iPad. I entered everything offline and there was a pop-up notice indicating it would synch the next time I got online. I'm now home and on my regular WiFi connection. I just went to update my itinerary in TripIt and noticed that nothing that I entered yesterday saved! 2 hours worth of time and effort seems to have vanished and I'm extremely aggravated and annoyed!! Can anyone tell me if there's a way to restore my trip details?? Is the info that I saved yesterday lost forever??

I'm sorry to hear about what happened to you, and unfortunately I have no idea how Tripit's app works offline, but I'd just like to make a suggestion for the future.

Why are you entering your trip data manually? You can forward your emailed reservations to [email protected] and tripit will create itineraries for you automatically. It's not always 100% accurate, but pretty darn close.

Here is the link to set this up:

If you already know about this, please accept my apologies. I just thought it might help.

Sorry you're having trouble - I don't know what to say aside from the fact that I use Kayak for the same thing. I'll move this to Travel Tools, where hopefully the people there can help.

Sucks, but....it is what it is?

I prefer TripCase.

Plus, it's synced up w/ Sabre, so your agent can send you details that way (and they're alerted when your flight is delayed or travel is interrupted).

I have a really elborate itinerary and I like to enter specific details manually that TripIt would not be able to do through the automated system. I had added dozens of local contact numbers, notes re. optional times for different scheduled activities, etc. All of this info was culled from emails as I received it, so I would slowly add details to each entry in my trip. I seem to have lost about 2 hours worth of this work now.
