VoLTE works on Verizon. Used it the other day to talk on the phone look up NFL game times. Its about time.

There are some posts on HowardForums that the T-Mo versions are, indeed, shipping unlocked. Supposedly, they're only branded "T-Mo" because that's the SIM in the box.

While screen size aids in ease of reading and watching even for large hands the device is a two device with the plus. Cant imagine the 128 gb being needed for a phone vs tablet. Form factor on 6 is perfect.

So does that mean you can now finally talk and surf at the same time? :)

Indeed, mine arrived unlocked, tested with my t-mo sim and my friends AT&T sim. Purchased from Apple.

You are right about the branding, since the GSM models are unified now I believe.

My 5s was purchased from a t-mo retail store and I had to wait 40 days to get it unlocked.

Both were unsubsidized.

I was wondering, are the Verizon ones still unlocked right away like the previous iPhones subsidized or not?

Did you buy it from a physical Apple store or ordered the T-mobile iPhone 6 online from Apple store?

According to threads on macrumors.com, the Verizon iPhone 6 continues to be GSM unlocked just like the 5 was.

In addition, buying the T-Mobile contract-free version from Apple also gives you an unlocked iPhone.

My Vz 4s was gsm locked but after one call they unlocked it. My newer Vz 5s came factory unlocked and from all I've read, the 6 continues as factory unlocked....

I seem to recall this being an agreement with the FCC. In exchange for some extra LTE spectrum Verizon agreed to sell all its LTE phones unlocked.

Contract free is basically full price. Why wouldn't it be not unlocked?

Cell phone carriers screw you because they can.

So I purchased my phone on ATT NEXT; forgetting that I prefer an unlocked phone... anyone have an experience paying off the ATT contract in full and getting the phone unlocked.... also does that qualify for 5x from Ink? thanks

Yeah - as the above poster implied, just because it makes sense doesn't mean phone companies don't take that opportunity to get their claws in deep.
