2014: Favorite Android App

Niantic Field Trip has added a lot of content recently. I used it recently in europe and NYC and it was kinda fun. I usually uninstall it after I get home.
They have probably gotten better due to the input from Ingress, their other big hit.

Not sure there's a 'best' general travel app....this is what google says: https://www.google.com/search?q=top+...en-US:official
Agree on these...also...if you like to rent apartments rather than always stay in hotels, this app is useful and pretty:
Airbnb

Yelp is essential--I have discovered so many great places I would not otherwise have visited. My rule of thumb...don't go to anywhere 3.5 stars or less.

Finally, not everyone's cup of tea but I use and like Tripit

I'm curious to know whether any other Flyer Talkers have tried to figure out what the best available Android app is for tracking the 2014 World Cup.

Any suggestions/consensus on add on keyboard software? I have a Moto X which has the Google keyboard and I have added Swiftkey. Are there others that people prefer? Thanks.

I have used the Hacker's Keyboard on an Android device. It has cursor keys.

Any of the various sports score update apps should work. My personal favorite is Yahoo Sports. I checked and it does have World Cup scores and live updates available.

ScoreMobile is very popular on Android and iOS. i used to use ESPN, but had some battery drain issue so i don't use it any longer.

Thanks, SRQ Guy and cbkcc1. I will check out both of those. The sports app I've been using on my Android phone is theScore. It looks like ScoreMobile is the football/soccer companion app.

If you are a golfer, try skydroid. It keeps getting better and it was very easy to put on 2 courses that weren't available when I first got it.
