How to fax a printed document using a PC

Does anyone know how to fax a printed document via Windows? I plan to add a internal fax modem to my pc but don't know what to do after that.

If it's printed, you need to have a scanner to scan it into the PC, and then you would fax out the scanned document. If you were buying a scanner to do that it's probably easier to get an all in one printer that has a fax built in and use that for printed stuff.

If it's a file on the pc your fax card will come with a driver to print to the fax card from your applications.

There are companies that will fax documents for you. Sign up on the web, upload the document, and they fax it to your recipient.

Just google "online fax"

Not exactly sure what you are trying to do, though.

I currently have a AIO printer sans the fax. I've read that you can use Windows Fax I think its called to send faxes. I'm not sure though if I scan a document and send it as an image rather than as a document and if I have to go through converting documents, etc. I don't want to go through the hassle of getting a new printer just for that additional feature.

As Doc savage says, just use an online fax sender. Google shows this as the first :-

There are plenty of others.
