tinyumbrella has been updated for iOS 6 so if you're planning to jailbreak, save your 5.1.1 SHSH blob.

In the event you want to revert back to iOS 5.1.1, here's how:

Assumes you saved shsh blob referenced earlier....http://www.iclarified.com/24537/save...-511-important

I did the upgrade last night on my iPad without an issue. At least we now have Siri on the iPad. @:-)

The elimination of youtube is also about as customer unfriendly as it gets.

What happened to the YouTube app? Is it because it is Google too? I didn't much like it anyway. I'd rather use Chrome browser because the YouTube iPhone mobile site is much nicer than the YouTube app ever was.

Appears because it was Google.

On the other hand- the new World Clock is quite nice.

At least that app you can download and install to have it back again.

It's Apple vs Google. That conflict may be useful but the approach taken by AAPL is just burning customers.

Most of the people posting on this thread are addressing the iPhone. As an iPad user there were several improvements with the new OS even taking into consideration the Google maps and youtube omissions.

Is anyone interested in creating a poll? I am really curious how many people have upgraded and are happy with iOS6 (especially for travel).

Personally, I've tried a beta version but reverted to iOS5 for now.

We do? Must be the exclusive "New iPad" crowd.

FWIW, I just downgraded to 5.1.1. I need mass transit directions on my Maps!

Apple maps are evil.

This is why I'm waiting to update my 4S...I like the way it works now and I'm not certain iOS 6 is something I HAVE to have yet...

True, but Google's YouTube app is much better than the bundled version. I hope they bring out the iPad version soon. I'm not upgrading my iPad till they do.
