I'm running Eudora flawlessly on a Win7 64-bit machine. The version I use is Version 7.1.0.9 (the last release), and I've easily migrated it twice when upgrading to new laptops.

With a large collection of filters working exactly as I want them, with flawless support for both POP3 and IMAP (and also because I detest Outlook), I see no reason to change.

Windows Live Desktop Mail

After Microsoft stopped developing/supporting Outlook Express they built a new desktop client mail app that is now called Windows Live Desktop Mail (part of the Windows Live Essentials suite).

Its free and is not a bad mail client. Will work with the standard POP/IMAP type accounts and has built-in support for Hotmail through EAS.
