Word loads in about 3 seconds. Windows used to hang on startup (even with the SSD) but that I think was because "mom.exe", which is the ATI Catalyst Control Center, was crashing on startup. I tried reinstalling it, but got the same behavior. So I used msconfig to prevent it from running at startup and my boot time is now about 15 seconds. I suppose the SSD is helping after all.

Sounds like something isn't right.
I put in a SSD on my workstation as my Photoshop scratch drive, even with i7 16G already I notice a marked improvement of at lease 3X if not more when the SSD is being utilized.
