Anyone know a current source for a $99 HP Touchpad?
Everyone seems to be sold out. I guess I got on the bandwagon too late.
|
Your last legitimate chance was probably two hours ago, when TigerDirect/CircuitCity/CompUSA put their's on-sale. It sold out within minutes.
Newegg is probably the last major retailer not to have adjusted their price, and no one knows when/if they will. HP has also stated any TouchPad shipments received from some retailers will be re-sold for the discounted price. |
The best way to keep up with the latest availability is to watch slickdeals.net . I got wind of the Barnes and Noble sale from them last night before it was all sold out. You can set up alerts on the site to let you know when there are new posts, but you would likely get hundreds of alerts as the threads on that site have gone crazy.
Lots of very rabid bargain hunters there checking out all the possible sites, so you will probably hear on that site first. I talked to the worker bees at a BestBuy on Saturday, and they said they had packed up all their stock to send back to HP for credit, so likely HP will be getting a bunch back in. You likely have to keep watching pretty closely to get in on deals ASAP when they are available. Good luck! |
The SlickDeals thread is nearly impossible to track. Roughly 40-80 new posts every minute.
|
Amazon UK has them.

I'd check your local CL's over the next few days to look for the ads where people have bought but are "less than enthused" about the product. Not having an Android ROM for it right now also doesn't help. :(

They've been creating new threads when a new retailer opens up some stock, though, so it is possible. That's how I saw the B&N sale last night.
350 pounds each, though. 2. FNAC.com has them too and ships only to French addresses. |

Amazon usually has the worst updates on pricing. Here's one from Curry's UK showing the 32GB model for £115.
