I get confused due to the different aspect ratios of the screens - Im guessing the overall square footage of these two machines will be the same, or...?
Don't guess - look at it visually!

http://www.displaywars.com/15,6-inch...vs-15-inch-4x3

The purple box is the size of a T510 15.6 inch widescreen; the green box behind is the size of your current T43 15 inch 4:3 screen.

Play with the controls to compare whatever you wish, including a T410 if you want.

With Lenovo, generally, when new models come out, the price of the older model goes up. Lenovo continues to sell the old model so companies can keep a consistent product. Since the companies need it, they'll pay more for it.

T420, T420s, and T520 as expected. The X201 is replaced with the X220. No definite word on which range of processors in each.

Not sure about the T520, but the 420/420s and 220s are going from 16:10 (14.1"/12.1") to 16:9 (14.0"/12.5"). X220 looks really sweet.

I just recently purchased a T410, to replace my ~ 6 year old T4? (2373, 14"), from the newthinkpads store on eBay. Free shipping and no sales tax were kickers for me. I'm very happy. I only hope it lasts half as long as my last one.

I've had one for about 6 months and it is really great. Just bumped from 4 to 8 GB of RAM and wow! Love the SD slot, the yellow USB power passthrough and only wish it had a 3G module built in like my colleagues T400.
