I'm still not sure that is true. There is also an AT&T version of the Nexus One that supports different 3G frequencies.

It is still very possible they will cover it. My N1 power button failed Friday - quite common from what I read on the internet. It was less than five minutes to have a replacement on the way. They give you two options:

1. Send a replacement unit for a $530 hold on a credit card. As long as you return the bad phone and there is no non-warranty damage, they will release the hold (or charge you for non-warranty repair). 3-4 days to receive replacement.

2. Send you a shipping label to return it. Takes about 2.5 weeks and they will inform you of charges, if any.
