Good wireless mouse that's designed for left & right hands
Looking for a decent left/right hand wireless mouse to use with my 6 yr. old Presario X1000, running Windows XP. Want to spend $30 or less. I was about to grab the MS Mob. Mem. Mouse 8000, for $28 on amazon, when I realized it's designed for right handers.
I spend a few hours per day on my laptop so need something comfortable & user friendly. Smaller is better. There are a lot that probably fit my requirements & it's daunting.
How about this one: Logitech M310?
TIA.

The link in my OP says the M305 has 'optical' and not 'laser' technology. Is that an issue? I don't understand the practical differences.

I've used both and I like the regular optical ones more. I guess it is an individual preference. I do a fair about of spreadsheet work as well as VPN/Remote Desktop work...... no gaming. 90% of the surfaces I use the mouse on work just fine.... otherwise I just use it on a piece of paper.
Take a look at this for more info.

I've got two Microsoft (oops, I meant Logitech) wireless mouses (mice?), two slightly different models, each with the nano receiver.
They're at work right now so don't have the model numbers (actually, I do: M505).
I think these things are the greatest computer purchase I've ever made!

I use a M505, the first one on the left. I'm right handed, but the form is identical on both sides. Although the Logitech site has it $49.95, OfficeMax sells it for $34.95.

Dell occasionally sells the Logitech V450 for $19. Fantastic travel mouse.

Logitech M305 for $11 after rebate. If you don't have Prime, buy two and get free shipping (rebate allows for two purchases).
Price only good on black, silver, and dark fleur.
