Packing list

I kept a packing list using HandyShopper on my Palm for many years. Before every trip, I go through it, selecting the necessary quantities of everything, then I pack all those items and check them off. This greatly reduces the rate at which I forget a random item.

Now that I've upgraded to the Palm Pre, using HandyShopper through an emulator is a bit clunky. I've considered some of the new WebOS apps, but I would possibly prefer something I could access and change over the web, not just on my Palm. Any suggestions, web sites, or software that works for you?

I just use plain text files for this. Recently I've been using Google Wave to plan trips, handy when there's more than one of you.

You can use list sites, such as Astrid / Rememberthemilk.com to create lists.

It may not be as elegant as the current solution though seems like the type of thing a spreadsheet app could easily handle and could easily be moved across devices/platforms.

i put one on excel for me and my wife about 15 or 20 years ago. all that changes are the sizes, and the number of meds.

it is sort of nice to print out copies for each of us, to x off each item as it gets moved, and to print on the bottom of the hard copy new items to add.

not very cool compared to current aps, but it is most workable.

ListPro by Ilium Software is also a cool little app. I'm not sure which OS's they support though.

let me second rememberthemilk. I use it for my day-to-day todo list as well as other lists (packing list would be an obvious example). I do, however, buy 2 of many necessary things (power adapters, toiletries, etc), so I have a suitcase/bag packed with all the essentials all the time.
