Peru electrical adapters

My daughter is going to Pisco and Cuzco in Peru this month and bringing her camera charger and iPod. We were told that Peru might use 2 different kinds of plugs. Does she need a converter as well one or two kinds of adapters for the iPod?

Peru can have either the Type A/B (i.e. US-style) plugs or a Type C (i.e. Europe style) outlets. Having an adapter is probably a good idea.

Check the specs on the chargers. If they do not say 100-240V/50-60Hz input then you likely also need a transformer.

My favorite web resource for this type of question: http://www.travel-images.com/electric-plugs.html

As long as your power adapters are universal (they will say something like 100 - 240V, 50/60Hz on them), all you need is this plug adaptor. The other plug types in Peru are the same ones we use in the US.
