Uploading Program

My wife is using an app on her Mac. seems to work quite nicely. it will not load on my Home Vista PC. rather than finally figure out how to activate permissions, or administrator, is there another program that works well on a PC?

Windows Live Mail is the free email client from Microsoft for Vista. There are serveral 3rd party free options available as well (like Thunderbird and Eudora). I would imagine all of those would work with this email provider.

slawecki,

I am having a really hard time understanding what you are asking. Try restating your question using common language terms, instead of trying to use technical terms i.e. (so something like "I would like to add photos to my website" or "I want to setup email on my new computer"; instead of "the administrator of the FTP for the SSH can't chmod the website"). Once we have a basic understanding of what you want, we can dive into the technical details.

It depends on which website or hosting service you are using. Some provide integrated tools for users to add pictures.

See if this thread helps (if image hosting is involved):

If you have a normal web site where you have created and maintain the pages using a html editor, such as the Flyertalk web site, then you need a FTP program. This one works quite well.

Filezilla works great for FTP and SSH/SFTP/SCP servers. It's a free clone of WS_FTP.

The FlyerTalk site is VERY much not just a couple HTML files. There is a tremendous amount of other stuff in the background with templates and databases.

And the tool required will depend on the host more than what one is trying to push to the server.

That all being said, I am locking this thread for now as there are some inconsistencies that need to be addressed. OP, you'll be receiving a PM shortly.
