Briggs & Riley Expandable Spinner:Medium vs. Large. Which One for 50lbs. Max. Weight?
Already have a Briggs & Riley Baseline Domestic Expandable Carry-On Spinner (U122CXSP), measuring 22" x 14" x 9".
Looking to get another larger size spinner that will be a checked bag only, but don't want to violate the 50lb. maximum weight restriction.
Should I get a Briggs & Riley Baseline Medium Expandable Spinner (U125CXS), measuring 25" x 18" x 11".
or
The Baseline Large Expandable Spinner (U128CXS), measuring 28" x 20" x 11"?
Which size, Medium or Large, would best accommodate 50lbs of clothes and personal effects?
Thanks

Medium always ends up in 20-22 kg range for us even without expansion - several air asia flights reconfirmed that. Pretty sure the large one will go over easily unless you have lower density winter cloths etc...

Any suggestions on where to buy used luggage?
This Forum doesn't have a classified/for sale section, does it?

(Beware, unless you can pick them up, you will spend more money on shipping the bags than you pay for the bags though. If you have to send them in for repair, you will again pay more for the shipping than you pay for the bags.)

I was looking at the check-in luggage from B&R and was thinking about getting the large, but it would be too heavy if packed fully. It's better to buy the medium and not compress it if it's within airline limits.

Medium is generally enough unless you carry lightweight clothes, but less dense stuff can generally be compressed. The large ends up being bulky and if you pack normally you will be well over 22-24kg limits. Also the chances that someone (e.g. airport/airline staff that doesn't give a damn about your bag) will damage a 25kg / 60 lb+ bag is much higher. Plus, as long as you get an expandable bag, mediums should be more than enough.

Just took a 31 kg medium and a 14 kg carry on on an EasyJet flight with a maxed baggage allowance.
Medium is generally perfect for me but I’d have preferred a large over an expandable medium if packing extra warm clothing for a longer trip and can go up to 32kg. If you don’t pack light and fly business for longer vacations, you’d have use for the large.
