Just took a 31 kg medium and a 14 kg carry on on an EasyJet flight with a maxed baggage allowance.

Medium is generally perfect for me but I’d have preferred a large over an expandable medium if packing extra warm clothing for a longer trip and can go up to 32kg. If you don’t pack light and fly business for longer vacations, you’d have use for the large.
