I was a backer of this campaign. After many numerous delays, my bomber jacket finally arrived today!
I have to say that it is a nice looking jacket! And I like the pockets and various accessories.
However with that being said, I am severely disappointed with my purchase of this jacket.
First, Baubax used DHL to ship out these jackets. I was hit with duty, taxes, and COD fees (charged up front by DHL) in the amount of $54 Cdn. upon picking up my jacket at the post office. I would much rather have had Baubax send these out by snail mail USPS, as I almost never incur duties and/or taxes (by Customs) when items are shipped to me via USPS regular post.
Second, this jacket is SMALL! I ordered a Small based on Baubax's sizing chart, and although the coat I received is labeled as 'S', I can almost guarantee you my coat is an EXTRA SMALL! I wrapped it back up and put it right back in the box! I am going to have to try and recoup some of my monies by selling this in an eBay auction or something along those lines. I am not going to request an exchange, because even if Baubax would agree to do so, I would incur even more costs with shipping it back....and then probably additional duties/taxes once again upon shipment/receiving of the replacement coat.
Next time, I will just wait until these kind of things are available in retail stores. Will probably end up costing me the same amount at retail level, and that way - at least I can try it on first and make sure it will fit properly from the get go!

Could one just refuse to pick it up? Would it be sent back to Baubax and would you then get a refund? Mine is sitting at the postal depot waiting for me to pick it up and pay the $40 duty. Should I just not pick it up if they are that crappy and it will get sent back?

Looks like crowdfunding does not afford you buyer protection from Amex either. That COD was really insult to injury at this point.

Got my Bomber today..umpressiins
Impressions:
XXL It fit me fully zippered..
Felt 'heavy' until I removed the attached hoodie with installed neck pillow..
'Gloves' took a bit of getting used too..as one must 'retract'
Back Into sleeve for non use.
Material was nicely finished, zips were all functioning.
I guess the concept was to deal with TSA, even 'pre TSA' which now depending on the 'mood' can be a lengthy 'process'
Wore it yesterday, stopped in my local PO...totally taken by surprise, got questions on it, granted, these folks aren't MM's but they asked where to get one...maybe PO workers may be a new market...
Granted that the timing was off, as this bomber is most comfortable in colder climes..
Oh, and it shed water like the proverbial DUCK...
