Wow. Now that's some awesome colors and composition!
I think I'll hold off posting one of the crappy iPhone pics (I left my camera in the rental car...though it will be returned!) until I'm not competing with such awesomeness.
Then again, pretty much every photo posted in this thread is equally awesome...
I do have to post mine before vysean beats me with his virtually identical (but better quality) shot! Of course, my shot from 1F includes the engine and wing, whereas his shot from 27F probably doesn't...

Could use some work, but remember that this is a raw iPhone photo that hasn't been processed in any way! The mountain in the middle is (obviously) Mt. McKinley (known locally as Denali); the slightly smaller one to the left is Mt. Foraker.
I spent the entire flight absolutely plastered to the window (even though I'm intimately familiar with the territory we were flying over). Seeing such familiar sights (which never bore me from the ground) from a different perspective is truly fascinating to me, so I think this just about captures why I love flying in an image.
I do have some great pictures I picked up with my regular camera on my recent excursion to Southeast Asia and Australia, but they're all sitting on my external hard drive now without a working computer with which to sort through and find them. I'll have a few more to post when I can get around to solving that problem.

It's the best part about this job...

Super high altitude (300,000 feet) noctilucent clouds.

Why I like flying????
See the Blackberry? Notice the screen is blank? At 30,000 plus feet, no one can reach you. Kick back your heels. Plug in the IPOD. Read a long overdue book. Pure peace. Absolute nirvana. Escapism at its best

Two situations where I wish I had my camera but it just happened so fast.
- Recent trans continental flight in USA I saw a plane cross right below us. It must have been around 3-4000 ft below but it was actually quite scary how perfectly we met. At the exact time we crossed each other. It caught my eye around 15 seconds before but wasn't enough time to get my camera out. Beautiful and yet scary sight.
- My flight a few days ago seemed to linger for a good 15-20 seconds at the point where it went above the clouds. Perfect clear day and the clouds seemed to go on and on. Wish I could have taken a photo. It was an amazing sight.
