Surprise visitor

Okay, this is cheating as I didn't take the photo ... the game camera did. After deer hunting season, my husband returns the carcass to the timber for the wildlife to pick clean ... under the camera of course. Over the years we've seen all kinds of domestic (dogs, cows) and wild (bobcats, coyotes, hawks, opossum, raccoons, etc.) checking things out. This year we had a surprise, as did the hawk (check out the facial expression on that hawk LOL). Rural Iowa.

You forgot one of the most important rules of photography - always check the background before taking the shot. You appear to have got some form of large animal in the background which stands out far more than the oxpecker!

'Rockabye Baboon'.....Mother holding her baby during sunset. Very last light so ISO had to be turned up to 8000, hence a bit of grain and CA....
