U.S. May Limit Flights Into Chicago's O'Hare Airport

WASHINGTON -- The Federal Aviation Administration, in an unusual move aimed at curbing flight delays at Chicago's O'Hare International Airport, is preparing to announce steps aimed at limiting flights there during peak travel hours, according to people familiar with the matter.

"Transportation Secretary Norman Mineta said United Airlines and American Airlines, which have major hubs at O'Hare, agreed to a 5 percent reduction in flight operations during the peak hours of 1 p.m. and 8 p.m."
