Mayor Slams Running Of NYC Airports
New York City Mayor Rudolph Giuliani said yesterday that the city's two major airports are among the worst in the United States and their poor management could threaten the city's economy.
The mayor's words marked a step forward in his battle with the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for control over La Guardia and John F. Kennedy airports.
"We're leading the country for crime reduction... but we're at the bottom of the pack with regard to airports," Giuliani said.

FWIW, for those unfamiliar with NYC and Mr. Giuliani, this is not the first person, place or thing "slammed" by him, by any means! Yet, he could be right!

Yes, doc, agreeing with Mayor Rudy on anything is like one of those classic dilemmas.
However, a couple of hours in a BAA-run airport (like Pittsburgh) makes one pine for the rapid departure of the P-A in favor of BAA, as Rudy would like to do.
