Why not modernize the 767-200 design, which is essentially the size and cabin configuration of this 797, rather than design a new ugly duckling?

Not understanding what you mean.... But I think I get it now. No, an 808 is not a 21st century version of a 707.

Actually, there is replacement the 737 & 757 aircraft. Boeing is looking for goods replecement the 757-200/300 aircraft. I think there is enough more than 220 passengers capacity.

I really wish they had continued to manufacture the 757!

Surely Boeing hasn't given up the 150 seat market to Airbus / Embraer? If they are only prducing the 737-800 as their smallest aircraft...that is around 180 seats?

The problem with the 757 is that it takes off too quickly because it's too powerful. Most other planes spend quite a bit of time on the runways so you can experience the thrill of ground acceleration on takeoff.

I like the 737s for that reason.

Try an aborted landing on a 757! Those engines are very powerful

Right. It will completely 100 percent the 787 testing will be consider it done. Boeing will accepted deliveries to the airlines sometimes in mid-2011. If they get certified from FAA approved.

Since WN operates 548 737's as of 3/13, I would imagine what he thinks matters a lot to Boeing.
