Thumbs down Another incident (small) with AF in Brazil-France route

I have just read about another incident in an Air France flight.

Only 3 of 11 toilets working in a 744 airplane, flight returned to Rio after 3 hours into the flight.

Bad luck? Bad management? Bad decisions? All? In any case...

So, they were 3 hours into a 10 1/2 hour flight. By the time they got back to RIO, they were in the air 6 hours. So the difference was 4 1/2 hours...not counting the fact that they presumably could have landed in MAD or somewhere a little sooner had they needed to, which probably would have been far less of an inconvenience to passengers needing onward European connections.

Just doesn't seem like it warrants turning a huge plane like that around.
