From the 30th floor of the Sofitel Sukhumvit Bangkok looking toward Nana station. A favorite location.

First you declared it west, then northwest.

You're in err on both accounts. There is nothing west about this view.

You are looking from the HI Pool across to the mouth of Soi 31 which is north/northeast.

Sorry you don't like to be given factual information counter to that which you stated but that's simply the way it is.

Wow. Amazing photo.

There is a ~ 42 floor building going up right in the middle of that image. Q Sukhumvit.

The long side of the HI pool points NE and SW, and therefore faces NW, no? NW is closer to W than E.

OP is long gone and you guys are debating direction of photo. Looks North and slightly east to me.

That's helpful. It seems like the pool indeed runs SW - NE, but more it's horizontal than I thought. Very well then, the incredibly informative fact that that is a northern view is confirmed. Go team!

Uno Mas, a Spanish restaurant at the Centara Grand (hotel), had quality views of Sukhumvit, Baiyoke, etc.
