Things aren't going so well, and this isn't the only Temple Stand-off in the news. The "authorities" (2,000 strong) are trying to arrest dhammachayo, head monk at the flying-saucer temple: Wat Dhammakaya.
Oh the state of Thai Theravada buddhism.
Another Showdown as Tiger Temple Blocks 1,000 Wildlife Officers
KANCHANABURI — Conflict was brewing once again at the Tiger Temple this morning when it refused to hand over its tigers to wildlife officials.
Over 1,000 national park officers arrived at the Tiger Temple in Kanchanaburi province at around 9am on Monday and as of noon were attempting to negotiate the animals’ removal.
Prattana Intawong, a veterinarian with activist group Wildlife Friends Foundation Thailand, said her crew has been waiting for the big cats at a veterinary hospital near the temple, known as Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua Yanasampanno.

Today's soup special is Consomme of Baby Tiger, dressed with fresh bear bile.
I'm guessing they removed that "Whacka Cub" game too?
Horrible Discovery in Tiger Temple: Dozens of Dead Tiger Kittens
KANCHANABURI — At least 40 dead tiger cubs were discovered this morning inside the controversial Tiger Temple.
Rows of cubs’ bodies that look freshly killed are lined up in photos, as reports of other disturbing discoveries of other parts of animals, including some protected species, are made.

Thai tiger temple monk caught fleeing with skins, fangs
BANGKOK - Thai authorities intercepted a monk trying to leave the kingdom's controversial "tiger temple" with skins and fangs on Thursday, officials said, the latest discovery to fuel long-running accusations that the zoo is involved in the illegal wildlife trade.
Dozens of police and park officials have been stationed at the Wat Pha Luang Ta Bua temple in western Kanchanaburi province since Monday after receiving a court order to remove over 100 adult cats from the complex.
For decades the infamous temple has been a popular stop for tourists who pay a steep fee to pet and be photographed with the predators -- which animal rights groups say are heavily sedated.

Appreciate very much your letting us aware that these sanctuaries are but areas of unethical, torture and medieval sites for animals, who cannot defend themselves.
Thank you.
Thank you.

Maybe these make the best vintages of "Tiger Wine"?
I think they were also making a "Tiger" 'energy' drink too. (Energy drinks are very popular here; Krating Daing, which one hopes is not made from a bull, bull parts or bull excrement.)
Tiger temple scandal exposes the shadowy billion-dollar Asian trade
A week ago it cost 600 baht (£11.50) to visit the tiger temple in Thailand’s Kanchanaburi province, west of the capital, Bangkok. Tourists moved by the spectacle of such splendid creatures living side by side with human beings could also pay the saffron-robed Buddhist monks an extra £15 to help feed the cubs, or to have their picture taken with an adult tiger’s head resting on their lap.
Along with nearly 250,000 people, Jay Z, Beyoncé and their daughter Blue Ivy posed with the animals last year, and marvelled that some of the world’s fiercest creatures could be so tame.
Now the doors of the temple have been closed and the animals removed, possibly for ever. After a decade of allegations by animal groups of cruelty, illegal wildlife trafficking and breeding, 1,000 police, military and government officials descended on the temple to expose a shadowy trade in tiger parts that feeds an insatiable market in China and threatens the few remaining tigers in the wild.

Tiger’s Temple faces eight counts of charges
The Office of Land Reform for Agriculture will ask the National Buddhism Office to revoke the licence of the Tiger’s Temple or Wat Pa Luangta Bua Yannasampanno in Kanchanaburi for the use of almost 400 rai of reform land for the keeping of over 130 tigers and other wild animals.
It was reported that the temple had misused the land for purposes than those specified. Also, it was alleged that the temple had illegally encroached on forested land adjacent to the reform land allowed to be used by the temple.
The last of the 137 tigers was moved out of the temple on Saturday to Khao Pratap Chang and Khao Son wildlife breeding centres in Chom Boeng district of Ratchaburi. But there are still some wildlife species left on the temple ground which include horse, wild boar, buffaloes, antelope and barking deer.
