BKK or DMK
Is one airport better then the other? I assume BKK is busier than DMK? Is one more effecient?
Is it more if you are staying closer to DMK and flying local then just go to DMK?

DMK is served by only a few airlines and amenities within the airport (as in food) are limited. Transportation possibilities do not include the train. On the road the tolls for this portion of the highway are the most expensive in Bangkok (60THB).
However if you're in the western reaches of Bangkok DMK might be easier to get to and the flights out of there tend* to be cheaper than those out of BKK to domestic locales.
I much prefer to deal with BKK but occasionally I'll head over to DMK when the flight schedule demands.
*This is often true with DD and sometimes true with FD.

DMK isn't quite the 'ugly duckling' she was a year or 2 ago. The food options aren't so great at BKK either. Though the toll & taxi are more expensive, it's a lot faster to get to and from the Sukhumvit corridor at most times. I've frequently gotten to Asoke in 25 mins at 17:30 - try that from BKK ! The worst thing about DMK is the taxi queue & it can be avoided. If you're not saving a bunch of dough (which you should be) fly BKK. It's a better experience and the Rail Link gives you more options.

MH was cheaper (and that AK $290 doesn't even include checked bags or seats).
I guess T.Fernandez lost too much money with year with QPR.

And the K6 prices have been unbeatable all year.

Not necessarily relevant to this thread (ok, there's no relevance) but we matched the AK price vs MH for PNH-KUL and it was $216 vs $290.

In these multiple instances Air Asia was more expensive than Jet Airways ( full service airline) and also Indigo ( which includes baggage only)..

You don't have much time built in for late arrival and traffic... 3 hours is cutting the 'connection' close (and is not a legal connection technically).
