DMK isn't quite the 'ugly duckling' she was a year or 2 ago. The food options aren't so great at BKK either. Though the toll & taxi are more expensive, it's a lot faster to get to and from the Sukhumvit corridor at most times. I've frequently gotten to Asoke in 25 mins at 17:30 - try that from BKK ! The worst thing about DMK is the taxi queue & it can be avoided. If you're not saving a bunch of dough (which you should be) fly BKK. It's a better experience and the Rail Link gives you more options.
