Smile Can anyone recommend a good cooking class in Bangkok?

Can anyone recommend a good cooking class in Bangkok?

I would not sign up for a class at the Blue Elephant, as it s pricey

I was wondering if there are any good classes that are more affordable?

Thanks in advance!

We are right now staying with friends in Bangkok and they have pictures of the Baipai school on their fridge. We just booked the afternoon class today. They are coming to pick us up at our apartment, which is included in the price of the class (1800B).

I'll report back later on the quality of the class but the other people I've talked to love it. It's also the highest rated cooking school on TripAdvisor.

Loved BaiPai!

We spent one of the best afternoon of our lives at the Baipai cooking school yesterday! The place is first class from beginning to end. They will pick you up wherever you are staying - they said they would be there "Between 1:00 and 1:10" - at 1:07 the Baipai van pulled up outside the hotel and we were off.

We were there with a couple from Ireland, a guy from France, a woman from Romania, a woman who grew up in Thailand and her Brazilian boyfriend, and a single woman form Manchester. A fantastic group - plenty of time to eat and chat. IMHO it was the right mix of watching, learning, and then doing it yourself. The right amount of time -the right amount of food. I couldn't find a single thing to complain about.

Oh - and no hidden fees. The 1800 the charge is the 1800 they charge. Yeah - if you have a beer with dinner they'll charge you, but they even keep your water glass full the entire class. You get beautiful copies of the recipes and a refrigerator magnet with your picture on it, and a bunch of other pictures e-mailed afterward (haven't received ours yet, but we know we will get them!

My review will be posted on Tripadvisor soon - but really I couldn't think of a better way to learn to cook and eat some great Thai food!

YVW. I have received such great advice from FTers. I wouldn't be here on a vacation with miles and points without everyone here - it's nice to finally give back.
