Make a dummy booking...
... using the booking engine on the TG website (or any booking engine that allows you to view/select seating). Then check the first class cabin:
Or, call your local TG office and ask.
- 14 seats = old config
- 10 seats = new config
Or, call your local TG office and ask.

Maybe... but it's an answer to your question
Sorry to hear the TG site reminded you of the UA site (especially as the sites are completely different). I know what you mean about the TG site being not 100% reliable, but right at the moment it's working fine (I made a dummy booking this morning before posting my reply to your message).

In the dummy booking sequence, there is no need to go beyond the screen that lists the available flights. Once at this screen, click on the light blue link on 'flight details' and if it reads:
'747 - all series' - this is the older configuration
'747' - this is the refurbished version.
All 747 flights subject to variations on equipment (some routes more so than others) - so beware.
Cheers, TK

Yes, I know that they can vary from schedule. I hope they don't, if I am scheduled on the refurbished planes.
