Question Upgrading TG flight

Hi!
Am looking for ways to upgrade TG flights BKK-LHR and LHR-BKK.
Have heard from time to time, TG offers upgrade at check in counter for a certain amount of money. However, could not find any ongoing offer on TG website. Is it a TG FF members offer only?

Seems TG has the UA equivalent of systemwide upgrades.
Are Tg certs transferrable and do they work on any fare?
Then i would have to look for a TG flyer who wants to swap certs.

Originating from SIN, but connecting to BKK-LHR.
The 1:30pm flight am booked on is sold out in Y, only C and F available.
What are the chances of an op-upgrade for *G passenger?
Does TG puts you on a departure management list for op-ups?

Next BKK-LHR is 00:05am next day.
Don't mind flying that flight, if only TG tells me the day before and op-up me and i can spend more time in Singapore...
Anyone have been able to negotiate this?

Thanks

I have definitely seen this. I remeber that, from the UK, it was available, at time of check in, for 250. Howeveer, it was only valid on certain flights.

Found this on Thai Airways website:

Passengers can upgrade from Economy to Business or Business to First on a standby basis at check-in, subject to space. The fee charged is 760 USD per person per sector.

For further details contact Thai reservations on 0870 606 0911.

Usually TG will only op-upgrade when the flight is more than 95% full in the following priority: TG ROP Gold followed by TG ROP Silver & Star Gold members.

Was looking on the thaiair.com website instead.
