flew F BKK LHR last week, just few days after the coronation...it was a great experience like before COVID on the A380 to CDG, FRA or NRT or KIX
Check in at the F counter and escorted through security and TG Prestige (which was packed) to the F section (only few people)...the menu got more extensive in comparison to 2022 (I would say as large as pre-covid); last year there were just a few CP stuff available as food.
cabin: seat simllar to that on the A380: good, comfortable and a lot of storage.
the menus are back and as good as precovid. However no menu about beverage available but they show the bottles if you ask, what white or red wines are available.
Dom Perignon is missing but Laurent Perrier Grand Siècle is also great
Rimowa amenity kits are back!
Piyamas from Boggi like precovid
food and service was a good as in the past
shortcomings:
the selection of movies is really substandard; no blockbusters at all
beverage menu would be great!
no wifi vouchers
no magazines and newspapers (many other airline have switched to electronic ones; TG has not yet anything to offer)

and some pictures from my flight TG910 BKK LHR
In the lounge I had a Beef Stroganoff with mash potatoes, which was quite good....the cheese plate however mediocre...
one of the signature cocktails from the TG Prestige bar
the Caviar
starter: seared tuna
main dish: sea bass with polenta cakes
cheese and fruits
Sweets: brownies, hazelnut cream, ice cream
breakfast: egg benedict

will fly back in June; therefore I will compare the inbound to BKK with the outbound
hopefully they will add F routes to Europe...

Double F Flights
I just booked TG in F from KIX-BKK-LHR with an 8 hour layover in BKK courtesy of UA MP (rare value booking for KIX-LHR fewer miles than BKK to LHR). Looking for feedback on my plan to go into town for about 4-5 hours given the presumption that TG F service still includes buggy, fast track, and F lounge (at least F section of new lounge).
Does this make sense?
Also...bonus round question: Does my TG F boarding pass get me into the Singapore F section of the LHR Silver Kris lounge when making a connection to United LHR-SFO same day?
Cheers,
-Cyborg

Within Star Alliance, generally lounge access is based on the cabin class of the upcoming sector (there are reports of access being granted if there is no F cabin in some cases). So to access the SQ F lounge in LHR you’d need to flying in F for that sector. But you can still innocently ask.

No idea about buggy these days, but you should get a few hours in the city. Just need to account for traffic BKK-city and return (maybe use the rail link?), and presumably a quick fast track arrival and departure. In the pre-covid days you potentially could be stung the THB 700-ish ‘Airport Development levy’ (aka departure tax) when turning back-up at the airport as you haven’t paid this fee on a through-ticket. I also have done the same ‘long connection’ have never been charged. Travelling in F you’ll have fast-track in/out.

Looking forward to these back to back TG F segments as it has been over 3 years since I last experienced their product/service; if only they ha.d the HKT flights with those F suites, but you know what...Thai Smile Plus ain't that bad (better than UA domestic in the states) ;-)
Note: I didn't mention the preceding part of the journey is LHR-SIN-BKK-HKT for a few days at the Ren at Mai Khao before going to Osaka/Kyoto.

Many thanks for the nice feedback. I just made the arrival lounge at LHR mute; purchased a deeply discounted BA R/T F SFO-LHR as "Positioning Flight :-). CCR is in play with 4.5 hr connection fromn T2 to T5 on the return.

PS, I think you meant ‘moot’ (un-decided and further debate won’t clarify ), and not ‘mute’ (silent, unable to speak)

and no you will only get into the SQ F section at LHR if you have a BP for departure in F

there is buggy service in BKK if you arrive at a gate far away from immigration (usually not for D gates as they are close)...usually they will bring you through transit security into the F section of the Thai Prestige lounge (with service and food and beverage menu)...but if you let them know, that you prefer to go downtown, they will bring you to fast lane immigration...when you are back you go to the F check in (door 1) and they will escort you to the F section of the lounge

Ticket prices are getting somewhat excessive now on this route for THAI F, from my recent experience.
tried to book 4 seats return to LHR for later this month. We were somewhat flexible on dates but could only get one P fare at 280000, for the other 3 seats could only get full fare f at around 375000.
Switched the booking to Emirates at a more reasonable 220000 per passenger.
I have one award flight booked in THAI F for Oct. After that i will support the competition for premium flights to Europe until THAI pricing calms down a bit.

I have transited through Dubai travelling in First or Business Class enough times and much prefer direct flights even at a reasonably higher cost.

We are flying in TG in F in a month, KIX-BKK and then connecting to BKK-USM (operated by PG, but all ticketed together by TG). Will be able to use the First lounge (or rather, "First area of business lounge") in BKK during our connection?
Is there any buggy / escort to domestic connections as well, or is that only for international connections?
Thanks!
