First award availability?

Wondering if anyone has experience with this. Want to book 2 first award seats on 658 but on United's site, only 1 is available each day. I found old posts elsewhere saying they offer more and the additional seats will be loaded after you book the what's showing as avail. Has anyone "waited" a few days and seen more first availability open up on this routing?

Thx

Absolutely an enjoyable flight (even though we got TGed from a 9F 747 to a 10F...)

- On ground: pre-departure drink, hot towels, Rimowa kits and slippers
- In air: re-fill and macadamia nuts, chicken satay appatizer

First Course
Skewered chicken, vinegared salmon with vegetables
Simmered burdock roll with sea eel
Egg cake, deep-fried prawn cake with almond
Grilled japanese taro with miso, carrot, cucumber with wheat miso

Soup
Basil tomato soup

Main Course
Stuffed squid with minced shrimp green curry (...)
or
Grilled pork medallion wrapped with speck ham (...)
or
Beef bulgogi with kimchi fried rice (...)

Dessert)
Tauum and Look Chub
Pumpkin Delight
Mini apple tart
Mini amarena cherry tart
***
Refreshment
Ice cream
Even though the first course was of decent quality and very nice presented, the taste didn´t by any means cater to my western palette. Cat food would be a fair comparison The green curry tasted excelent, the stuffed squid was not much to write about... The desserts was sweet and nice. Ice cream (coconut?) with fresh fruits served right before landing.

I would say the concept was quite similar to a F long-haul, except for no caviar or any pyjamas (daytime flight). Not sure if it´s common on intra-asia flights, but the food was not on par with TGs BKK-Europe flights. The crew was definitely a "hit" on this one!

no caviar also on F from/to Japan. I usually go for the Japanese meals when flying out from Japan. Maybe also stick to Korean out of Korea?
at least you got Dom, right?

Out of ICN, which lounge does TG send passengers to? I assume the Asiana lounge in the stellite concourse? Can anyone confirm please? Reason is my mother will be flying JFK-ICN-BKK on OZ and TG in biz and she has wheel chair request. I'll get to ICN the day before and want to meet her at the lounge for the same flight to Bangkok. Thanks all.

yes Asiana Lounge at the satellite terminal is the only option. There is a F and a J Lounge. Thai Platinum members get only access to J lounge

I would be very appreciated if anyone can share the TG658 F menu or any advise? Booked a trip with 658 flight in F with 10 seats version and wondering what kind of inflight experience may except. Thanks!

This route no longer has F after Feb when it switches to an A350. I had an award booked too. I guess at least I'll finally be able to fly on the A350.

I just confirmed an award booking in F for TG658 this Feb, and ready for online check-in.
