TG*P

I reached over 50.000 miles this year in September which makes me requalify for gold. However, on my boarding passes with Lufthansa now appears TG*P, instead of TG*G. I did about 35000 in C-class which is not enough for platinum. My status on the Thai Air ROP pages is still Gold. So what does it mean to see TG*P?

TG*P will only be printed on TG BP....... on all other *alliance BP, it will be printed as TG*G,..... it must be a mistake...

hi,

there is no *P. (staralliance-platinum).

i found it strange that LH prints "TG*P" on your BP.

i only would know one explanation: a "TGP" (note, no *) which means nothing more than TG Programme (i suppose so, and I have ever had this before)

would that be the case for you?

*P on LH is indicative of no status (which means if the passenger actually holds *G or *S status, it was not successfully retrieved by LH system).

This is spot on. It is a common error in the LH system and means that your elite status has not been recognised by the LH IT system. That is why you should always bring the FFP card with you.

Hi BinSabai

i have seen this as "TGP" on LH boarding passes ever before, never seen this as "TG*P".

i read "TGP" as "TG Programme" or similar, which means as you say "common passenger collecting miles on TG program" regardless of status. I also have seen this ever before, at a time when there was no TG Platinum yet, during that time I held TG*G.

TG*P means TG*Partner (Star alliance) and nothing else. If doesn't show TG*G, for the airline means you are just a passenger with a unknown status.
